An Assistant Pastry Chef supports the Head Pastry Chefs is carrying out the day to day tasks at the Pastry kitchen. Working under the supervision of the Head Chef, these assistants are expected to execute the following responsibilities – preparation and assembling of special occasion cakes, shaped dough, chocolate tiers, molded sugar, filling, toppings, frostings, buttercreams and fondant coverings; they need to report to the management about repairs and maintenance of kitchen equipment, order, and stock food products, ensure stock rotation, develop and create new recipes, oversee buffets, manage pastry station, interact with guests/clients and get their feedbacks, supervise and give direct training to the new recruits.
