A Boilermaker takes charge of the building, installing and maintaining containers which are used to store liquids and gases. The Boilermaker Resume gives a list of the following common work activities carried out by these workers – reading and understanding blueprints, assembling parts, ensuring environmental standards are met; handling equipment performance, re-piping and re-tubing containers and container parts for industrial or commercial properties and undertaking all other tasks as delegated.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications – extensive knowledge of welding, drafting and rigging; ability to read blueprints and diagrams, manual dexterity, strong troubleshooting skills, mathematical proficiency and feeling comfortable to use specialized tools such as oxy-acetylene gas torches. Completion of a technical training or apprenticeship program is commonly seen on successful resumes.
