A GI Technician is an Endoscopy technician who is responsible for preparing the room, and equipment before an endoscopic procedure. On a day-to-day basis, the following duties listed on the GI Technician Resume are carried out – cleaning up and sterilizing the room before and after the procedures; presenting during procedures, assisting the nurses and doctors; stocking supplies, working with specimens, keeping work areas clean, completing the patient intake process, transporting patients, and filling out paperwork.
