A Substitute Teacher performs the same job description as a normal teacher, but the difference being that these teachers work as substitutes for Teachers who are absent for a day or longer period of time. The duties listed on the Substitute Teacher Resume include the following – taking attendance, checking homework, maintaining classroom cleanliness, adhering to curriculum, overseeing students in the classroom and in hallways; overseeing normal classroom activities, compiling a detailed report for the teacher on leave to review; and complying with school regulations and policies.
