Hull Technician Resume Samples

A Hull Technician takes responsibility for doing the metalwork that is needed to keep and maintain the shipboard structure and its surfaces in a good condition. The job description and duties listed on the Hull Technician Resume include the following – maintaining the plumbing and marine sanitation systems, repairing small boats, operating and maintaining the ballast control systems, managing the quality assurance programs; repairing installed ventilation ducts; installing and repairing insulation and lagging; operating marine sanitation systems; heat treating in hot and cold forming of metals; and fabricating metals.

In order to qualify, an applicant will require the following skills – the ability to work in extreme weather conditions, physical abilities and stamina; deep knowledge and familiarity in using all types of hand and power tools; and tolerance to high or noisy surroundings. A relevant degree or diploma is commonplace among job applicants. Qualifying ASVAB score is also needed.
