A Wedding Assistant works alongside a wedding planner and is almost a personal attendant who is trusted to take care of the bride, communicate to and for her to manage her stress level, bring the right items to the wedding ceremony and reception, keep the day’s schedule on track, and help with any issues that arise on the wedding day. Other associated duties are listed on the Wedding Assistant Resume as – overseeing the correct set-up of the ceremony and reception, assisting VIP’s throughout the event, being available to the wedding guests to answer their questions and assist them as needed, and assisting vendors with their set-up by being close at hand.

A degree in hospitality management or a related field is advantageous. Some countries necessitate a wedding planning or assistance certification.
